WHY LURES?
Every lure begins with a memory, a piece of wood, and a lifetime of fishing experience.
What started on the waters of Yankeetown, Florida has become a family legacy - handcrafted one lure at a time.
Each lure goes through several processes from picking the wood, to being whittled and sanded, all the way up to the final coat of sealant. Believe it or not, it takes 16 steps for each lure to be created.

Poppy's Custom Lures were created out of our passion for fishing, and a family legacy has grown into a commitment to creating handcrafted topwater lures designed to perform. That's why the whole family is involved. Our lives are about our faith, our family, and fishing.
Meet Nanny, Sharelon Nichols. She has an artistic flair from tailoring to painting and beyond.
Randy is Poppy's oldest. He is the brains behind Poppy's Custom Lures. God spoke a word to him, and he ran with it! Randy is a pastor, musician, and he loves to fish.
Amy is Randy's wife. She is the office wiz. She is a co-host of the Sugar-Free Truth podcast and author of the Think On This devotional/bible study series.
Steven is Randy's youngest son. He helps design and test Poppy's Custom Lures. Steven also runs his own Handyman Service company.
